Member Focus – The Event Hire Company

December 23, 2017

Today we are delighted to introduce you to The Event Hire Company. Over to you to explain a bit more Stacey….

How did it all start?

The Event Hire Company was born under the Crown Group (now known as Crown Partnership) it was used as a furniture and catering supplier for the caterers and venues in the partnership. The current managing director has put her heart and soul into creating the company and has continued to evolve the business which now deals with more external clients than partnership companies.

Do you have a favourite venue?

Our favourite venue has got to be Blenheim palace.. Not only is this venue stunning it holds a great history. A little known fact about this venue is that it is said to be the birthplace of Winston Churchill.

How would clients describe you?

Many of our clients have previously described us as helpful and resourceful. Not only can we create realistic expectations from their visions, but we can also deal quickly and efficiently with issues that may occur: even if it’s last minute. Many of our clients have entrusted us with their visions, as they feel safe in the hands of our experience.

What trends are you seeing for 2017/18?

A huge trend which keeps popping up for weddings in 2018 is dark colours such as navy and red, along with some really wacky themes. We have recently been asked for Harry Potter, Avengers and mad hatter tea-party. Another trend that seems to be occurring is that brides are interested in chair hoods rather than regular sashes. Covers have been taking a back seat for a number of years now and brides are quickly jumping on the band wagon with new innovative ideas to decorate chairs.

Whose celebrity wedding (dead or alive) would you love work on?

There are so many to choose from, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson and so many more. To work with one of the greats would have been life changing, not only would they have some amazing visions, but they would of also had the personality and charisma we would of loved to have worked with.

What is your vice?

No matter what you’re looking for, when it comes to your wedding make sure you keep it personal. It’s all good and well going above and beyond to create something the guest would like but it’s your big day so you need to impress yourself. Whether you have a wacky theme or want to keep it small and simple.
