Gold & Glamour by Something Blue Weddings

When Gemma Sutton asked me to be part of this Gold & Glamour styled wedding photoshoot at Botley’s Mansion I was delighted. It was the most incredible shoot to work on with some of London’s top wedding professionals.
My brief was to create a glamorous gold tablescape for the shoot. A gold wedding can be chic and stylish but it can so easily become tacky! I really wanted to incorporate the vintage glamour trends which are so prominent in fashion at the moment with sequins being the leading aspect of the trend.
To create a stunning table I’m a big believer in levels, you need to mix heights to have the wow impact in my opinion. The large floral centrepiece from Jay Archer dominated the centre and I wanted to bring in some unusual shapes to create some interest to the table. I did this by contrasting the modern hexagonal candle holders from Classic Crockery with the timeless gold candlesticks and vintage table name frame which I sourced from eBay. The cake from Willow & Bloom reflected the opulence of the venue perfectly with modern hues of gold glitter to tie in with the table. Calligraphy always adds a touch of glamour and the wonderful Judy Broad agreed to create a suite of stationary and escort cards to complement the look. Even more delightful is that it’s also featured in the February / March edition of You & Your Wedding Magazine.
