Meet Associate Planner Member – White Allium

Thrilled to be able to introduce you with one of our UKAWP Wedding Planner Associate members White Allium, a luxury wedding planner in Hertfordshire. Tell us about yourself Tricia…
Tell us about your journey into weddings?
Originally a nurse and then working in the corporate medical sector I always had a creative streak just waiting to get out. I’ve always had a huge passion for interiors and DIY and completely in my element when I have a dinner party or special occasion to organise, so wedding planning seemed the perfect fit. In 2014 I decided to complete a one-year diploma with the Wedding Planner School and graduated with distinction. It wasn’t until 2017 that I was able to leave my full-time work and start up my own business – White Allium Weddings and Occasions – finally realising my dream as a wedding planner.
Describe your favourite wedding location (beach / city / country)
Ooh…difficult – I adore Cornwall so for me Caerhays Castle – it’s such a beautiful spot looking out over the beach and out to sea and the castle itself is so idyllic – truly romantic. It definitely has the best of both worlds – beach and countryside. However, as a city girl now living on the beautiful Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire border – a country wedding is definitely on my radar, as it’s that bit of escapism that I think we all crave.
Ultimate wedding theme you’d love to be a part of
Got to say I’m not one for a wedding theme – for me my ultimate wedding must be chic, contemporary and elegant.
What 3 words would clients use to describe you?
Organised, Caring, Professional
How do you unwind?
Walks with my three dogs and my hubby Andrew – preferably followed by a nice glass of wine or a G&T at home or in the local country pub. Keeping busy also relaxes me believe it or not – love a spot of gardening and some DIY to de-stress.
Best piece of business advice given?
‘Be yourself – don’t compare yourself to others or look at what others are doing’
Tell us something random about you
I was a huge Elvis fan when I was a kid (still love him). I had a life-sized poster of him on my bedroom wall. I remember the day he died I was inconsolable!! All my friends thought I was weird as they were all into Duran Duran and 80’s bands! It’s funny how that in recent years he’s had a resurgence again and everyone seems to be into him!
