Delighted to be able to introduce you to wedding planner member Beautiful Magical & Elegant Weddings, tell us about yourself Anna
Tell us about your journey into weddings?
I studied Event Management at college and my first experience of wedding planning was my work experience at Mission Point Resort in Michigan. An amazing couple of months spent overseas and the resort specialised in the most beautiful weddings EVER! This is where my passion for weddings came from. After qualifying with my HND in Event Management I worked in a couple of different hotels in the roles of Event Manager & Senior Event Manager. Focussing on a range of different events but predominantly weddings. After 10 years or so (and literally hundreds and hundreds of successful weddings events under my belt) I decided to take the step and make my dream, my business, a reality. I am now 5 years self-employed and absolutely LOVE what I do.
Describe your favourite wedding location (beach / city / country)
My favourite wedding location has to be a country or castle wedding. Private grounds, back to nature, lots of greenery, open spaces, picturesque, exclusivity, stately home or castle, steeped in history, somewhere that can offer a magical experience to a couple perhaps over a few days.
Ultimate wedding theme you’d love to be a part of
There are too many themes to pick just one! I’d say an alternative wedding, something that’s never been done before. Breaking traditions and throwing away the rule book! Reflecting the couples style and creating a fun, stylish and memorable wedding.
What 3 words would clients use to describe you?
Professional, Friendly & Accommodating
How do you unwind?
Yoga, it’s my go to for relaxation and unwinding. I also love a pamper day every now and then – a massage and a facial always helps!
Best piece of business advice given?
Have a business vision, as this vision helps you make decisions and stay focussed.
