Member Focus – The Crawleys

The Crawleys Wedding Photographers

We thought we would kick the new week off by introducing new supplier partner members Liam and Bee, aka The Crawleys. Over to you guys…

The Crawleys

How did it all start? I never really planned to become a wedding photographer, things just kind of naturally evolved that way. After being medically discharged from the Royal Marines in 1998 I decided to focus on my creative side and went to university to study photography. I specialised in landscape photography whilst I was studying and never actually photographed a human until leaving graduating in 2002! A relative asked me to photograph her wedding and the rest is history.

Do you have a favourite venue? Yep, Walcot Hall in Shropshire. The place is ‘real’, it has heart and soul. The owners actually live on site and are very much in tune with proper country life, and its shows – think muddy boots, gun dogs, flat caps!

How would clients describe you? Passionate, fun, friendly, creative.

Wedding planners or suppliers you particularly admire? Ash Shane-Hubbard of Barefoot Luxury Weddings. Having only know Ash for a short amount of time I am super impressed with his energy, passion, and enthusiasm for what he does. I am also hugely humbled that he saw something different in our work and approached us to work with him. I am very much looking forward to this partnership.

How do you unwind? Hot tubs, hot baths, documentaries, wine!

What is your signature dish? Fillet steak, homemade potato wedges.

Whose celebrity wedding (dead or alive) would you love work on? Hmmm, tricky one! There are so many! Maybe Gwen Stefani – I’d imagine she would be loads of fun to photograph, she’s stunning, and her style rocks!

What is your vice? French wine!
