Jades Flower Design

Today we are delighted to introduce you Beverley who runs Jades Flower Design and has joined as a Supplier Partner Member. Over to you Beverley…

How did it all start?

I have always loved flowers and after obtaining the ICSF (Intermediate Certificate Society of Floristry) in the early 90’s I freelanced in London for several years, working for some of London’s best known florists on royal birthday celebrations and celebrity weddings at venues such as Claridges and The Savoy. I also created the Christmas displays for large London hotels such the Four Seasons, which I absolutely adored!.

This experience of creating large installations led me to launch Jades Flower Design. I love large, breathtaking displays and thought this influence and experience would be perfect for weddings in the South East.

Do you have a favourite venue?

We are so lucky to be based so close to some incredible venues but particular favorites are Chippenham Park and Sibton Park. They both have the most beautiful grounds – as a nature lover and keen gardener, I always adore working at these two venues.

How would clients describe you?

I have just read some of our testimonials and reviews for inspiration and pulled out the following words:

Personable, friendly, chatty, passionate, professional, informative, inspirational. personable

Wedding planners or suppliers you particularly admire?

We have had the pleasure of working closely with Bernadette from Dream Occasions for many years and have created some incredible weddings together.

In terms of florists, I have always admired Preston Bailey. He is famous for transforming ordinary spaces into incredible, romantic settings and that vision is something that we definitely share at Jades Flower Design.

How do you unwind?

I love to take my dogs for long walks – it’s a great way to relax (if my labradoodle behaves herself).

What trends are you seeing for 2017/18?

Hanging florals and foliage are still popular for this year as are natural, loose and wild displays. With the announcement of ‘Greenery’ as Pantones Colour of the Year, we are seeing couples favouring this fresh, vibrant shade, whether used on its own or combined with traditional choices such as white, lilac, pink or purple.

What is your signature dish?

I don’t have much time to cook I’m afraid, so I don’t have one particular dish that I’m known for. My sister makes wedding cakes however, so I am always happy to sample her signature carrot cake!

Whose celebrity wedding (dead or alive) would you love work on?

Elton John without a doubt! One of the team at Jades Flowers used to be a prop designer who has previously worked on Elton’s parties so we know he loves flowers and large dramatic displays – we would be a match made in heaven!

What is your vice?

Sugar. I can’t function without cake!
