Neli Prahova Photography

Delighted to introduce Neli Prahova Photography. Over to you Neli…

How did it all start?

My love for photography started when I was 14 and I was at art school and I was searching for a different media of my artistic expression.

My love for wedding photography started in 2007 when I was on a landscape photography workshop in Italy with one of the famous American wedding photographers who showed us some of his wedding portfolio and I realized wedding photography can be a very artistic photography not just an event photography.

Do you have a favourite venue?

The most amazing venue I have photographed at was villa Rothschild in South of France. The venue itself is a museum and is beautiful on its own but it has unique gardens and as a photographer you are spoiled for choice as to which corner to use for the photo session of the couple not to mention to amazing sea background.

How would clients describe you?

A photographer who loves elegance, aesthetics and beauty. The one who would go an extra mile to get that perfect shot.

Wedding planners or suppliers you particularly admire?

From the very beginning of my wedding photography carrier I have admired the professionalism and inspirational blog of Andri Breson.

Outside the UKAWP, Niemierko has a very particular style and a very inspirational business approach.

How do you unwind?

Dancing – from Zumba in the gym to salsa in the nightclub – that’s my passion after photography

What trends are you seeing for 2018/19?

On a few styled shoot calls I’ve noticed some wedding planners are putting mood boards eager to try something more dark, dramatic and altogether different from the ever-so-popular bright light and airy styles that have been dominating the industry. Whether that sticks with the brides or not is something I’m very interested to see.

What is your signature dish?

Banitza – that’s a Bulgarian (equally claimed to be Turkish or Greek) dish of filo pastry with feta cheese.

Whose celebrity wedding (dead or alive) would you love work on?

Shakira – besides being one of my favourite singers I love her diversity and whether her wedding is like a pretty fairy-tale or a dramatic opulence she will look amazing and I’m sure the photography job would allow for utmost creativity.

What is your vice?

Chocolate in the winter and ice-cream in the summer. I think in this respect I’m worse than my son :).
