Pearline Weddings

How did it all start?

Pearline Events started out of my love for organising weddings and parties over the years. I had been thinking about starting my business for a while, but it was only after having my son that I decided it was time to do something that I love and am passionate about. Plus, I wanted to be my own boss!

Planning a wedding can be so much fun, it is hard work too though! I love seeing the warmth and joy that a wedding brings, as you celebrate with family and friends, eating, dancing and just enjoying spending time with your loved ones.

Life has many ups and downs, so when you have a wedding to celebrate why not do it in style. Life is worth celebrating!

Do you have a favourite venue?

There are so many to choose from! I appreciate a range of venues. I am particularly drawn to country houses. More than anything I love elegant venues with space, that gives you options with how it can be transformed.

How would clients describe you?

Friendly, helpful, hardworking and a good listener. More than anything I have been described as calm under pressure.

Wedding planners or suppliers you particularly admire?

There are too many to choose from, I admire everyone that works in this industry and are small business owners. I have met some amazing planners and suppliers. Lots of them are already members of the UKAWP, so I am in the right place!

How do you unwind?

By spending time with my family, chilling or watching box sets with my hubby. Or taking some ‘me’ time and getting a back massage – heaven! I also enjoy visiting spas, when I get the time.

What trends are you seeing for 2019?

The importance of personalising a wedding will remain key, focusing on the fine details. For 2019 I think there will be a lot of flowers, floral hoops and an emphasis on bold colour schemes.

What is your signature dish?

I do a mean macaroni cheese, I do love pasta dishes! I also like to cook lamb curry.

Whose celebrity wedding (dead or alive) would you love work on?

I appreciate elegant and stylish weddings with a twist. So, I would love to have worked on George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s wedding. A couple who display timeless elegance!

What is your vice?

Anything sweet – particularly jam doughnuts, Cadburys dairy milk chocolate and popcorn! I have a very sweet tooth!
