Member Focus – Sarah Clifford Weddings

This afternoon we are delighted to introduce you to new Associate Member Sarah Clifford Weddings. Over to you Sarah…

How did it all start?

Sarah Clifford Weddings was born from a love of weddings and a desire to work with people on a much more personal level. I’ve always wanted to run my own business and with a background in project management I felt that now was the time to use some of those skills for the better!

Do you have a favourite venue?

That’s a tricky one! There are so many gorgeous venues, how do you choose?! I do love a country house.

How would clients describe you?

I’ve been described as calm and reassuring in the past, and I think I’d be described as friendly and organised too.

Wedding planner/s you admire?

Kelly from The Bespoke Wedding Company is a huge inspiration to me, and I love following Preston Bailey in the States for his honest and glamorous approach.

How do you unwind?

Going out for dinner is one of my favourite things to do to unwind. A long walk in the country catching up with my girls is also high on the list!

What themes are you working on for 2015/16?

We’re working on some gorgeous rustic barn themes this year, as well as lots of gold.

What trends are you seeing?

We are still seeing a lot of metalics this year, particularly gold and copper, as well as lots of lovely modern calligraphy.

What is your signature dish?

It’s got to be risotto. You can throw anything in and it tastes great!

Whose celebrity wedding (dead or alive) would you love to design?

Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney’s wedding would have been amazing to design- all that Italian glamour!

Is the job as glamorous as you thought?

I never really imagined it to always be glamorous, weddings are beautiful and such an amazing day to be part of, but I do love getting stuck into the logistics and organising just as much.

What is your vice?

I can’t resist a nice slice of cake!
