Whilst everyone is in the midst of the summer’s weddings, its easy to lose sight of life after September. We try our hardest at UKAWP to keep planning for the autumn and beyond. We thought it might be useful to let you know of the events we have coming up over the next few months. Where dates are not confirmed, these will be available soon!

Marquee Workshop – 18^th September

New for this year has been our marquee reception workshops, due to demand we are heading to Cheshire again on Wednesday 18^th September. Held at the stunning Nunsmere Hotel we will yet again be able to walk around their marquee. The workshop will run from 12pm – 4pm and tickets cost £100 members and £150 non members

Mix and Mingle – various dates

We’ve held an annual social event in the autumn every year since 2007 and this year is no exception. It’s our one event of the calendar which is pure social; think of it as an end of season celebration. It’s a chance to compare notes, talk through trends, tips and support each other over a glass of wine or two. All events will be held on a weekday evening and tickets will be on sale very soon, keep an eye out on our events page and right here on our blog for detailed information on each event.

The events are open to established and new planners as well as recent students of UKAWP and NEW for 2013 we are opening the doors to wedding industry suppliers. Tickets are priced at £10 members and £20 non members

• London – 2^nd October on the London Eye Barracuda 
• West Midlands – 2^nd October at the Mallory Boutique Hotel 
• East Midlands – 9^th October at the Living Room 
• Cheshire – 25^th September at Colshaw Hall

Training Courses

UKAWP members trip to Italy

Following our successful educational visit to New York in 2012, a number of our members are planning a trip to Italy in October this year to meet with and learn from our industry friends and visit luxurious wedding villas. We’re very much looking forward to it.

Workshops

We will be holding a PR workshop and floral emergency workshop in Oct-Nov, we are just in the process of confirming the dates.

We plan to hold a very exciting dress workshop hosted by a bridal boutique in Cheshire, this is due to happen mid November. We will pass on more details as soon as it becomes available
