I’m delighted to share with you today a civil partnership organised by the lovely Melanie from Bellissimo Weddings who is also one of our Regional Ambassadors.

Roy and Pieter’s Civil Partnership was our first Civil Partnership instruction so it was really exciting for us and reassuring to know our large portfolio of weddings didn’t put them off using us.

Roy and Pieter are a very stylish professional couple who didn’t have time to plan their Civil Partnership but also had no idea where to start! We quickly found them the perfect venue, the beautiful eco-friendly Greenhouse Hotel in Bournemouth.

Every element was very design led and stylish and had to be just perfect. Roy and Pieter wanted an Art Deco, Jazz feel to the day, bringing in South African elements (Pieter is from South Africa), their fondness of lilac and their love of cocktails!

We started by creating a mood board and took the styling ideas from there to build the over all look of the day and the finer details. As well as sourcing all their suppliers, we also created a dessert table for Roy and Pieter as they didn’t want a traditional wedding cake.

At 6pm after the wedding breakfast guests returned to their rooms and changed into Black Tie for the evening. On returning to the party guests enjoyed a cocktail hour followed by dancing the night away to fantastic jazz music. All the guests loved this and we would definitely recommend this to couples in the future- it was great fun for the guests and allowed Roy and Pieter a little time alone during the break.

The details and extra touches in this day really made it extra special and we loved being able to realise Roy and Pieter’s ideas and high standards.
