Showcase Wedding by Louise MacPherson Wedding Design

We’re always excited to shout about the triumphs of our member wedding planners, be it winning awards, breaking ground with new and innovative services, running events for charity and more. But we like nothing better than shouting about our raison d’être, the all-important Wedding Day. Today we are showcasing the work of one of our Scotland-based members, the wonderful  Louise MacPherson Wedding Design. Over to you Louise ….

Rowan and Grant were married at Fingask Castle in Perthshire, on a wet day in April. Whilst the weather was a little grey, we made up for it in colour and lots of surprises planned for the guests – including a pop-up Ukelele band, an ice-cream tricycle, and fireworks to top off the night.

Fingask Castle is a fantastic venue, with a beautiful inside space for the ceremony and champagne reception. We then moved to the marquee for the Wedding Breakfast; it was very important to Rowan and Grant that the food was sourced locally and Hettie’s Catering provided a delicious three course meal, with even the wines coming from a local Winery in Perthshire.

Guests enjoyed no less than three different music acts throughout the evening, starting with a pianist, moving on to a Scottish Ceilidh / Jewish Klezmer band, and finishing with a DJ who kept everyone dancing until the early hours.
