Showcase Wedding – Emma Jane Wedding & Event Management

Today we bring you a showcase wedding from one of our lovely Associate Members, Emma Jane Wedding & Event Management. Over to you Emma…
Today I’m incredibly excited to showcase a recent wedding of one of our lovely couples at Combermere Abbey, Whitchurch.
Charlotte & Ian came to us just before Christmas last year looking for some assistance with suppliers and, in their own words, “some hand holding throughout.” We worked closely with Charlotte’s mum, Sharron, and together the five of us created a unique and fun day, personal to both Charlotte and Ian with a gorgeous colour scheme of cerise pink, purple and mango yellow. The brief we were given was to produce an atmosphere that was both young and fun and with the help of some incredible suppliers, I think this was very much achieved!
We arrived at Sharron’s house early on the morning of the wedding to be met with a very joyful and elated bride, beaming from ear to ear, Charlotte oozed excitement. My favourite part of the day has to be first thing in the morning; anticipation is thick in the air with nervous energy taking over the expectant bridal party. Hairdressers were in full swing, Charlotte was sat, cross-legged on the floor surrounded by make up – I think it was safe to say that the bridal prep had begun!
The bridal cars arrived to take Charlotte, Barry, Sharron and the bridesmaids to St Mary’s Church, Nantwich. This stunning church is located in the centre of Nantwich and provided the perfect backdrop for Charlotte and Ian. Their ceremony included a fantastic performance from the UK Gospel Choir with a fab rendition of Pharrall Williams, Happy!
During the set up at Combermere, we’d experienced some pretty heavy showers so luck was truly on our side when Charlotte & Ian walked out of the church as the new Mr & Mrs Carr into glorious, afternoon sun. The good weather continued throughout the afternoon with the wedding guests able to enjoy the spectacular gardens and maze that Combermere has to offer.
Being a dog-lover myself, I completely understood Charlotte and Ian’s determination to incorporate their adorable, if not very naughty dog, Belle into the day! Belle appeared at the wedding in a number of other ways; as the cake topper on their fantastic Choccywoccydoodah cake and, showing guests the table numbers in some funny and very cute photographs (we’re told this was a nightmare photo shoot!)
With fun and young being the main emphasis, it’s no surprise that 10, extremely large purple space hoppers were purchased and provided great entertainment for many of the guests and bridal party; a great idea for kids and big kids too!
TOP TIP! If you fancy hopping your way through the day, purchase your space hoppers online at www.space-hoppers.co.uk (Not included is the wedding planner, venue co-ordinator, toastmaster and caterer to blow them up…!!)
Leading us from the formalities of the wedding breakfast and speeches into the evening reception were the FANTASTIC singing waiters and yes, they deserve the capitals! These three guys were adrenaline in a bottle and managed to get everyone up and dancing in minutes – not only incredible singers and entertainers, they’re actually great waiters too and for the rest of the night, they had the dance floor full!
Working with Sharron, Charlotte and Ian was a huge pleasure – supporting and advising a couple on their big day is a huge privilege and I think Sharron sums up our time spent together, quite nicely;
“You became an essential part of our team and it seems rather strange not having you around anymore!”
Lynn and I would like to wish Charlotte & Ian all the love and happiness in the world for their future together, as Mr & Mrs Carr.
Behind every planner, is a great team;
