Sugar Rush Inspiration board

One of our talented members Melanie from Cranberry Blue Weddings has created a beautiful pastel mood board perfect for spring and we just had to share it with you!

I love the start of a new year as it’s always exciting to look at what trends will influence the bridal market and differentiate it from the previous year. I have decided to use colour as the driving force behind my inspiration board today.  This is a huge Spring trend for fashion, and designers such as Phillip Lim, Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren and Marc Jacobs where among those who show cased this look at their SS12 catwalk shows.  It’s in stark contrast from the deep jewel colours that we saw in Autumn last year and provides a beautiful colour palette to create a wedding concept from.  You can mix the different soft tones of pale lemon, ice blue and blush pink for the whole day and the theme clearly lends itself to a pastels coloured dessert table or confectionary bar.

I have selected a stunning Monique Lhuillier bridal gown from the SS12 collection, and the bridesmaid’s dresses from Pronovias complement each other beautifully.  The ice blue shoes are by Badgley Mischka and the blush pinks ones are by Loeffler Randall – both to die for!  I have chosen a dull silver cuff to accessorise the outfit which is by Jessica Weiss Jewellery.
