Mariam created the looks on The Wedding Sanctuary site and will be there on the day, offering mini make overs, giving one to one advice and presenting a MasterClass. She’s also offered us all some tips for brides…..

  • I recommend that brides get into the habit of using skincare that really works for them and their skin, perhaps have a consultation with a dermatologist or skin specialist to really look at the skin an prescribe the right skincare – after all beautiful makeup starts with beautiful skin!
  • Eyebrows are really important features, I recommend to get them threaded as the removal is much more precise than waxing. It’s also important that you see the same person each time you go, so there is continuity in the shape and style each and every time.
  • Don’t wait until the last minute to book your makeup artist, many take booking often a year or more in advanced. Many clients often book months in advance, then come to see me a few months before their wedding day to design there look. It’s nice to see a bride closer to her wedding day, as skintones, hair colours, etc often change before the wedding day.
  • Be honest with your makeup artist, if you are not comfortable with a look or shade be sure to let them know – a trial is all about designing a look together.

Thank you so much Mariam. We are sure all our female guests will be lining up to meet you.
