Today we are excited to share with you some of the fun and games at the London Mix and Mingle Event which took place on the 26^thSeptember. This year UKAWP member Melanie of Cranberry Blue Weddings was asked to organise the evening with the help of another UKAWP member, Dominique from Stylish Events so the ladies themselves tell the story:

 

We set about looking for the perfect venue and coming up with some fun ideas to make the evening a bit different. Quaglinos restaurant & bar, in the heart of Mayfair, is a stunningly iconic restaurant and they very kindly agreed to sponsor the event by providing a private room, Champagne and copious amounts of delicious canapés. 

 Brilliant florist Ruari from Pinstripes and Peonies provided some stunning bouquets and buttonholes to decorate the poseur tables and the room.   

 

Dominique and I wanted to add a bit of fun to the evening so managed to pull in a few favours, Groovybooth supplied a photo booth which caused great hilarity as everyone posed in hats, wigs and funny glasses.  

Singer Sarah Coope and her pianist provided some fabulous background music and magician Neb from Sternberg Clarke wowed us all with some incredible card and mind-reading tricks. 

 

Last but certainly not least, photographer Lloyd Dobbie captured the whole evening for us, so we have him to thank for the brilliant photos.

 

To finish off the evening everyone was given a gift bag that was filled with all sort of goodies, including – tea favour tins from Blends for Friends ; sample stationery and pen from Hand in marriage ; perfume sample from Illuminum Perfume Lounge ; chocolates from the The Cocoa Mistress; flavoured vodka from Howards of Kent ; a make-up and hair session voucher by janicetee@hotmail.co.uk and lastly cookie Favours from Alexandra Clay.

It was such a fun evening and great to catch up with fellow planners. We’d like to say a HUGE thank-you to everyone who was involved in providing their services for free and for helping to make the evening such a success. And thank you to all the wonderful wedding planners, old, new, UKAWP long-timers and newbies who put the Mix and Mingle in their diaries each year and always  make an effort to attend.
