Beach Weddings Bournemouth is now the proud winner of the ‘Special Entrepreneur Award’ which was awarded to them as a surprise at the inaugural Dorset Tourism Awards which took place at The Tank Museum, Bovington. The business was described at the awards ceremony as “standing out for innovation, ideas and entrepreneurism”.   What an evening of celebration and rewards to be seen by all.

Beach Weddings Bournemouth is an innovative and distinctive venue based right in the heart of Dorset. It holds a niche at being the only venue in the UK where you can marry on a beach, offering every couple the opportunity to have a beach wedding. Melanie Kiani, Director, said “It’s lovely to be recognized with such an impressive award. We all love what we do here at Beach Weddings Bournemouth and with our venue being so unique the tourism factor of our business has a positive and substantial effect on the Bournemouth and Dorset area”

The ethos behind the Dorset Tourism Awards is about rewarding businesses and services which help the continued tourism trade to the area. Robin Barker, founder of the awards expressed the importance of these awards as Dorset. With a total of 13 categories showcasing all types of tourism businesses including ‘Tourism Event of the year’, ‘Best Tourism Activity’, and ‘Sustainable Tourism award’ to name but a few, it’s refreshing to see the not so generic venues and services being recognized for such amazing work. Winners will now be fast tracked into the ‘South West Tourism Excellence Awards’, which takes place in January 2014.
