Wedding Design Workshop

In February, our members Alexandra from The Bijou Bride and Andri from Always Andri Weddings ran the first in a new series of Wedding Design Workshops created to compliment our planner training.
The wedding industry has evolved so much in the last few years and today a wedding scheme is about so much more than just a particular colour pairing! Andri and I designed this one day workshop to inspire both new and experienced planners with ways to unlock creativity as well as effectively work with their clients from consultation right through to on the day styling logistics.
Of course we couldn’t host a wedding design workshop without including a practical styling session.
The group was split into two teams each with their own sample client brief and wedding design wishes. Beautiful furniture, props, stationery and flowers all kindly provided by WedHead, Classic Crockery, Beyond Vintage, Emily & Jo and Bluesky Flowers.
It was great to see the styling tools and techniques we’d worked on throughout the day put into practice. The resulting wedding breakfast table set ups were beautiful (as you can see below) and exceeded our expectations.
Before the day was out there was just enough time for some networking and styling questions over cocktails and sweet treats.
All attendees left with a bag of goodies courtesy of our friends at Beyond Vintage, Selfee, Ananya Cards, Bluesky Flowers, Berin Made.
A huge thanks to Cecelina Photography for capturing not only the day but also business head shots for all our attendees. The feedback from those that attended has been really blown us away and we cannot wait to teach the next one.
We will be bringing back our design workshop after the summer so if you are interested in going on our mailing list for the announcement, email bernadette@ukawp.com. Or keep an eye out on our training page.
