Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is the process of engineering your website to show up in search engine results, under certain relevant ‘key words’ e.g. wedding planner, wedding coordinator. SEO can increase the volume and quality of traffic to your website and is increasingly important in today’s technological age. At WPE ’09 we will be welcoming Steve Mark of Kayem Web Design to talk about this crucial topic.

Steve has been working in website design and development for over 12 years. In this time he has amassed a vast amount of knowledge concerning taking an initial design idea through to the final site and beyond. Not content with merely designing websites, Steve also assists his clients in promoting their sites to a wider audience via his work in SEO; a skill he has honed over the years to the benefit of his clients.

Steve is a member of BNI and attends various other networking events and alongside using the internet to promote business, Steve is a fierce advocate of networking in order to advance your business.

Outside of business Steve is a keen performer of amateur dramatics and last year during a performance of Summer Holiday was required to dress up as a woman, something he is pleased to point out happens as rarely as a comet! Steve is also dad to Kirsten and they are often heard doing battle over Playstation game SingStar, with Steve very often coming second to his daughter’s superior vocal talent. Steve’s party trick is being able to rap the entire version of Vanilla Ice’s hit ‘Ice, Ice Baby’.
