Gourmandises, French for edible treats, specializes in traditional Croquembouche, Macaron tower and gorgeous gateaux. Based in Cambridge, the business was created by Corinne Payet.
Corinne’s culinary heritage is key in the making of Gourmandises. Born on the tropical island of Réunion, just off Madagascar, and then raised in the south of France – her patisserie fuses exotic Creole flavours and classic French style.
Gourmandises was recognised in the 2014 Great Taste Awards. Judges gave Corinne’s signature passion fruit tart a top three gold star rating; an accolade awarded to just 150 of the 10 000 products entered each year.
A very significant award for us, as it is important that our patisseries taste as good as they look.
