WPE15 Speaker Focus – meet Isabel Smith and Melanie Kiani

It might not happen for everyone, but what do you do when planning weddings by itself no longer fulfils you the way it once did? How can you use your hard earned industry expertise in a new way to create innovative revenue streams and fulfil you once again?
If you have been working in this industry for a while, chances are, you have developed a good understanding of what clients look for in suppliers, you have insider knowledge of what good customer service is supposed to look like, or you might have developed marketing / business expertise from your previous & current career that you could put to good use to help other businesses. So it is no wonder that one of the most common dilemmas for wedding planners is “Should I, and if yes, how can I diversify my business for profit?”
Two of our most senior members, Isabel Smith of Isabel Smith Wedding Design and Melanie Kiani of Bellissimo Weddings will be speaking on this topic at our next Wedding Planning Excellence (WPE). Melanie and Isabel both run wedding businesses in addition to their planning companies, each taking a different approach to diversification and using their knowledge to work with different client bases.
In their seminar they will work through specific case studies outlining their own experiences, whilst also offering advice and knowledge collated from throughout the Alliance membership on creative ways to broaden your business horizons.
We’re introducing each WPE speaker with a brief summary of who they are, why we believe they’re qualified to speak on the topic and what their biggest achievements are. So without further ado, let us introduce you to Melanie Kiani and Isabel Smith.
We look forward to meeting you on 27 and 28 November at Millbridge Court!
