With so many inspiring wedding images available on Pinterest, it is easy to get carried away with aimless pinning sessions. Sometimes, the end result is that you feel overwhelmed and just as undecided on a theme as when you first started looking for inspiration.
This practical ‘How To’ workshop will help you identify your likes & dislikes using paper magazines, and consolidate your wedding style with the help of Pinterest.

The Truly Marvellous Wedding Fair : 3rd May 2015

On the 3rd May UKAWP Director Bernadette Chapman will have the honour of judging the “Best Stand” at the The Truly Marvellous Wedding Fair in Suffolk. She will be looking for the stand that is the most visually attractive using creative ideas to display the service or product. The stand that best communicates their brand with the best use of promotional materials, customer service and engagement with visitors.

Co-Organised by member, and winner of “Best National Independent Wedding Planner” Caroline Gould along with Kenton Hall Estate, The Truly Marvellous Wedding Fair will take place from 10am to 4pm at Kenton Hall Estate, near Debenham (IP14 6JU).

Kenton Hall Estate is a unique and creative space that provides the perfect atmosphere for the fair. The fair is set within the grounds encompassing the glamping and woodland blessing setting as well as the lawns and gardens.

The fair will feature a ‘Truly Marvellous’ wedding forum with Caroline, fabulous fashion shows, mock woodland blessings, street food, wine tasting, farm tours, live music, Cragg Sister’s woodland tearoom and of course the opportunity to meet the best and most creative wedding suppliers in Suffolk.

UKAWP and Brides The Show

Today we’re thrilled to share details of three of our members and this weekends inspirational wedding show Brides The Show. With hundreds of luxury exhibitors you can tick every ‘to do’ off your big-day list! There are two areas you can watch and listen to our members The Imagination Zone and On the Sofa.

The Imagination Zone

The imagination zone is a very exciting feature which has been with the show since it’s birth and is a treasure-trove of hands-on, DIY wedding inspiration. It’s ideal if you want to learn some tips from the experts on designing, creating and making some really special and unique touches for your wedding, with an eye on the budget of course. See below for a similar session run by Member and Regional Ambassador Always Andri at last year’s show.

Come along and hear all the tips of the trade from the Brides editorial team and industry experts. Each session will ensure you hit every point on your ‘how-to’ list and inform you about the bridal world and last approx. 30 minutes.

UKAWP at Brides The Show – What’s happening?

Today we’re thrilled to share details of two exciting events happening within the upcoming inspirational wedding show Brides The Show.

Dominique Douglas of Stylish Events and her team and Isabel Smith of Isabel Smith Wedding Design have been chosen to lead two sessions within the ‘imagination’ room and ‘on the sofa’ of the next eagerly anticipated show which opens its doors from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th October at the Business Design Centre, Islington. Want to know more?

See below for a similar session run by Always Andri at last year’s show. Stylish Events will be teaching you how to make your own utterly personal confetti, confetti cones and holders. Looking at different styles, sizes and finishing techniques, brides will be able to dive in and make and decorate their own sample cones under expert direction. Colourful, visual fun guaranteed! This session takes place on Saturday 4th October from 3.30-4.10pm.

And meanwhile Isabel Smith is happy to take to the sofa and share her left-of-field ideas on completely wow and different must-haves for your wedding. Features for your wedding day that you and your guests won’t have seen before and are likely to leave you amazed. Some of them are wonderfully simple and might leave you asking ‘why didn’t I think of that?’ and others are darn-right whacky. There will be lots to see, touch and feel and set your creative juices flowing. This session takes place on Sunday 5th October from 11.30-12 noon.

UKAWP partners again with Condé Nast Brides The Show – Diary Date!

Brides The Show, the UK’s most sophisticated, luxury bridal show returns between 3-5 October 2014, held for the first time at The Business Design Centre, Islington. The UK Alliance of Wedding Planners are delighted to be involved yet again with the show; details will be revealed over the coming weeks and months but planners and brides, do put the dates firmly in your diaries, it promises to be an unmissable event.

UKAWP partners with Brides the Show

The show treats visitors to an experience like no other: featuring over 130 of the most prestigious bridal and lifestyle brands, from designers and florists to photographers and venues, the industry’s biggest names will be on hand to help, advise and inspire. These include Le Manoir aux Quat’Saison, Wedding Shop by Selfridges, Blenheim Palace, John Lewis, Mary Jane Vaughan Flowers, Zita Elze Flowers, Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium and Twobirds Bridesmaids.

Visitors will also be treated to a series of stunning live catwalk shows, curated by Brides’ fashion director, Bryony Toogood, and showcasing the latest collections from some of the best UK and international designers, including Ian Stuart, Stephanie Allin, Naomi Neoh and Kate Halfpenny.

For added inspiration, visitors can also get hands-on, with the return of the hugely popular Imagination Room. With live DIY workshops on everything from bespoke invitations to personalised favours – hosted by the best in the business – The Imagination Room is designed to help brides-to-be realise their wedding look down to the smallest details. Member wedding planners of The UK Alliance of Wedding Planners will be featuring as part of the expert line up.

Brides and their parties can also enjoy beauty tips, makeovers and hair consultations at the Bridal Pampering sessions while On The Sofa – the show’s popular programme of interviews, presentations and Q&As – is the perfect way to stay ahead of the trends, and gain advice and tips from leading industry experts which will include UKAWP wedding planners too!
