I’m delighted to share with you today a wedding organised by the lovely Melanie from Bellissimo Weddings who is also one of our Regional Ambassadors.

On discussing Jenna and Steve’s wedding with them I quickly became very excited- a Christmas wedding in the amazing Lulworth Castle, Christmas is my favourite time of year having got married at Christmas myself and Lulworth is one of my favourite venues to plan a wedding at and the perfect setting for a winter wedding.

Jenna and Steve both wanted to be heavily involved in the planning process but had felt planning their wedding had become a bit of a chore, however after our first consultation they later emailed to say thank you as they felt we had put the fun back into planning their wedding and made them really excited again. Initially Jenna and Steve hired us on a final month service as they wanted to relax and enjoy this time however they quickly upgraded to the final three months service as they recognised the value of our services and knowledge which was really lovely.

Jenna and Steve were very keen to have an informal and fun day; they didn’t want anything to stuffy, as that’s not them.

We loved working on the styling of this wedding as although Jenna and Steve had a vision, they had no idea how to realise it so they handed control over to us! The brief was traditional Christmas with nothing too uniform. We hired huge candelabras to compliment the height of the castle and covered the tables in holly , ivy and mistletoe along with cinnamon sticks, red apples, dried oranges, pine cones and grapes. We also covered the tables and castle top to bottom with chunky church candles of different sizes to make a magical and atmospheric setting and even had a request from the Bride to have some part burnt candles so they didn’t look too uniform!

The day ran very smoothly with everyone having a great time and we loved every minute of planning and co-ordinating this wedding- even redecorating the 14ft Christmas tree in the Castle! All the hard work was truly worth it when we received a whole A4 page testimonial from the couple which completely bawled us over.
